Sustol Gets FDA Approval for Extended Release
August 16, 2016
The FDA has approved an extended release-version of Heron Therapeutics’ nausea drug Sustol.
The injectable drug is approved for use in the prevention of acute and delayed nausea and vomiting related to chemotherapy.
Sustol’s approval stems from two full-scale clinical trials involving more than 2,000 cancer patients. Sustol’s efficacy in staving off nausea and vomiting was evaluated in both an acute phase and a delayed phase.
