Mylan Plans to Sell Generic EpiPen at Half Price

August 30, 2016

In response to criticism surrounding the price of its EpiPen, Mylan plans to sell a generic version of its allergy treatment for half the price.

After four U.S. senators criticized the price hikes of Mylan’s EpiPen, the company announced plans to market a two-pack of generic auto-injectors for a list price of $300.

The list price of the company’s EpiPen injectors ballooned to $608 since 2008, when the product cost $100. The senators have questioned the company’s rationale for the price increase.
