Promoting Use of Generics, Biosimilars Will Reduce Public Health Spending, EC Says

October 20, 2016

Specifically, the report recommends that member states accelerate marketing authorization, pricing and reimbursement decisions on generics and biosimilars, noting that there are policies, such as the Directive 2001/83/EC, already in place to speed up approvals.
