German Company Launches Ankle Fracture Treatment System in U.S.

Berlin-based aap Implantate AG has launched the polyaxial Loqteq VA Distal Tibia and Fibula Plates 2.7/3.5 in the U.S. market. The system enables the flexible treatment of ankle fractures, addressing one of the most frequent fractures of load-bearing joints.

The device system consists of distal plates for the treatment of medial and anterolateral fractures of the tibia and plates for treating lateral fractures of the fibula.

The company will soon be launching additional polyaxial variants of different LOQTEQ® products for various anatomical areas in the market, company said. — Cynthia Jessup
