Hematology Divisions Join CBER

CBER will now include the divisions of hematology research and review as well as clinical review in a restructuring intended to improve the center’s efficiency.

The center is introducing the Office of Tissues and Advanced Therapies, which was previously called the Office of Cellular, Tissue and Gene Therapies, after it transferred two of its hematology divisions to that office.

The restructuring means that OTAT will regulate all purified and recombinant versions of therapeutic proteins for hematology as well as antivenins.
