Apollo Endosurgery Completes Lap-Band FDA Post-Approval Study

Apollo Endosurgery has finished the Lap-Band AP adjustable gastric band post-approval study.

The device is placed laparoscopically in a minimally invasive procedure, fastened around the top of the stomach, and works by applying a constant, gentle pressure to this area.

The mean weight loss from baseline to five years was 51 pounds, and mean BMI reduction was 8.3 kg/m2. — Cynthia Jessup
