Boston Scientific Launches Kidney Stone Retrieval Device

Boston Scientific has launched its Dakota nitinol retrieval device designed for kidney stone retrieval in the U.S. and Europe.

The Dakota stone retrieval device is designed to work with kidney stones of multiple sizes, ranging from 1mm to 10mm.

The device includes OpenSure Handle technology, which allows it to release a large, complex stone to help reduce procedure times, as well as a nitinol hybrid grasper basket to allow physicians to capture, reposition and remove multiple stones and small fragments in a single procedure. — Cynthia Jessup
