Chinese Regulators Fine Medtronic $17M for Price Fixing

Chinese regulators fined Medtronic for fixing the prices of cardiovascular and diabetes devices.

An investigation of Medtronic’s distribution center in Shanghai revealed the company’s effort to monopolize the market, Chinese regulators said.

The National Development and Reform Commission said Medtronic has been setting market prices since 2014 by buying out competitors. — Cynthia Jessup
