Congress Passes 21st Century Cures Act

After more than a year of work, the Senate gave final congressional approval to the 21st Century Cures Act in a 94-to-5 vote.

The bill establishes intercenter institutes at the FDA to coordinate activities among CDER, CBER and CDRH, including product reviews, based on individual diseases.

President Barack Obama is set to sign the bill into law today.
