FDA Grants Marketing Clearance to Precision Spine’s AccuFit Lateral Plating System

Parsippany, New Jersey-based, Precision Spine has received marketing clearance for its AccuFit lateral plating system.

The system is indicated for use in the treatment of thoracic and thoracolumbar spine instability, or lumbar and lumbarsacral spine instability.

The device consists of non-sterile, single use rigid plates that attach to the lateral portion of the vertebral body of the thoracolumbar spine by means of bone screws of varying sizes and lengths.

The system is intended as a temporary fixation device until fusion is achieved. — Cynthia Jessup
