Viveve Gets Marketing Clearance in Malaysia

Sunnyvale, California–based, Viveve has gained regulatory approval in Malaysia to market its Viveve system for tightening and strengthening the vaginal opening after childbirth.

The device, which uses cryogen-cooled monopolar radiofrequency (CMRF) technology, was already approved for that use in Australia, Canada, Chile, Hong Kong, Japan, Panama, Philippines, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. In the United States, Korea, and Thailand, the device is approved for general surgical procedures for electrocoagulation and hemostasis. — Cynthia Jessup
