Medtronic Granted Japanese Regulatory Approval for Micra Transcatheter Pacing System

Medtronic has received Japan regulatory approval for the pacemaker, the Micra transcatheter pacing system (TPS).

The Micra TPS is less than one-tenth the size of traditional pacemakers and is attached to the heart with small tines. The device was FDA approved in April 2016. — Cynthia Jessup
