UK Antitrust Regulator Accuses Actavis, Concordia of Delaying Competition to Fix Prices
March 9, 2017
The UK’s antitrust regulator alleges that Actavis and Concordia entered a pay-for-delay agreement to block the market entry of generic versions of hydrocortisone tablets and fix prices.
Concordia claims the agreement did not breach UK competition law, and plans to respond to the Competition and Markets Authority’s allegations after reviewing the agency’s provisional statement on its investigation into the rising prices of hydrocortisone tablets. Actavis declined to comment on the ongoing probe.
