FDA Shuts Down Colorado Supplement Manufacturer

The FDA ordered a Colorado supplements manufacturer to shut down operations for distributing unapproved products.

The agency has conducted four inspections since 2012 of two companies that share the same facility, EonNutra and HABW.

In the inspections, the FDA found the dietary supplement products to be misbranded and unapproved new drugs because they were being marketed with drug claims despite not being approved for any use.  Following the inspections, Michael Floren, the owner of both companies, was cited for numerous violations involving misbranding and unapproved drug claims and for failing to make promised corrections.
