NxStage Medical Gains FDA Clearance for System One Hemodialysis System

The company has received FDA marketing clearance on its System One hemodialysis system.

The portable system includes a new touchscreen user interface and integrated blood pressure monitor for use by patients performing home hemodialysis.

The compact design  is intended to allow patients the freedom to travel.

When combined with the NxStage PureFlow SL dialysis preparation system, patients can use ordinary tap water to create dialysis fluid on-site. — Cynthia Jessup
