Medical Device Electrodes Market Projected to Reach $2 Billion By 2025

June 21, 2017

Electrodes for medical devices are projected to become a $2 billion industry by 2025.

Increased rates of chronic illnesses, such as heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and fibromyalgia will likely drive demand within the market in the next eight years, according to a new report from Grand View Research. The fastest growth is projected to occur within the therapeutic segment due to increased use of electrodes for aesthetic surgeries, neurosurgical operations, and treatments for acute and chronic pain.

The bulk of market growth will occur in North America, according to the report, due to a combination of changing lifestyles, increased target population and the presence in the region of advanced technologies that use electrodes. — Zack Budryk
