Cochlear Shares Jump on FDA Nod for Nucleus 7 Sound Processor

June 22, 2017

Cochlear Ltd. has seen a rise in their shares in the past year after the FDA approved its Nucleus 7 sound processor. The new processor has made innovations from the old N6 version, including compatibility with Apple’s iOS.

The company has seen shares rise to 26 percent this past year, and shares rose to almost 4 percent after the news of the new N7 sound processor was released.

The devices received premarket approval from the FDA last year and are cleared to be used with up to 3.0T MRI machines if the unit’s magnet has been removed.
