Par Claims Former Employees Stole Trade Secrets Before Joining QuVa Pharma

August 21, 2017

Par Pharmaceutical filed a civil complaint against QuVa Pharma saying the company’s two founders poached key employees and stole trade secrets.

QuVa hired at least nine Par employees and consultants with knowledge of the development, regulatory approval, and market introduction of Vasostrict and other vasopressin products, Par said, in its complaint filed in New Jersey federal court.

The complaint named QuVa co-founders Stuart Hinchen, former president of Par Sterile, and Peter Jenkins, former chief development officer, as defendants. Hinchen and Jenkins were formerly executives at JHP Pharmaceuticals, which submitted an NDA for injectable vasopressin before being acquired by Par in 2014.
