Smiths Medical Receives FDA 510(k) Clearance for Wireless Ambulatory Infusion Pump

The FDA issued marketing clearance to Smiths Medical’s CADD-Solis ambulatory infusion pump with wireless communication.

The pump delivers intravenous patient-controlled analgesia, epidurals and peripheral nerve blocks. The device allows clinicians to remotely manage pump performance and monitor drug dosing, track pump location, download infusion data reports, and enable data integration to the patient records.

The device launched last year in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
