Gottlieb to Discuss Competition in Drug Markets at FTC Event

FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb will deliver a keynote address Nov. 8 at a public FTC workshop in Washington on competition in prescription drug markets.

The workshop will comprise two sessions: one on generic drug markets, including barriers to entry, and a second on pharmacy benefit managers, group purchasing organizations and other supply-chain intermediaries.

A theme of the workshop is encouraging competition and participation in the drug markets.
