Abbott Secures FDA Clearance for Diagnostic Systems

Abbott won 510(k) clearance for its Alinity ci-series diagnostic systems for clinical chemistry and immunoassay testing.

The new systems are half the size of existing products and can deliver upwards of 650 tests per hour, the company said.

The Alinity c system for clinical chemistry testing and the Alinity i system for immunoassay testing can be used individually or as a unit.
