Nevada Publishes First Essential Diabetes Drugs List Under New Price Transparency Law

The state of Nevada released its list of “essential” diabetes drugs, in compliance with a state law passed earlier this year.

Under SB539, which became law in June, manufacturers of essential drugs must justify any increases in wholesale acquisition cost and provide annual reports on manufacturing and marketing costs and profits.

The final list, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services, identifies drugs that are approved, essential and most commonly prescribed in the state.
