MHRA Launches OTC Side Effect Reporting Campaign

The UK’s Medicines Healthcare products Regulatory Agency announced a new social media campaign to encourage reporting side effects from over-the-counter medicines.

The campaign, running through Nov. 24, is part of a broader awareness campaign within the European Union.

The MHRA hopes to promote awareness of national reporting systems for suspected medicine side effects as part of the Strengthening Collaboration for Operating Pharmacovigilance in Europe Joint Action project.
