Delaware Court Rules Against Indivior in Suboxone Patent Case

A Delaware federal judge found generic drug developer Alvogen did not infringe on three Invidior patents for the opioid addiction drug Suboxone, specifically relating to the process for drying Suboxone’s sublingual film.

Indivior CEO Shaun Thaxter said the company plans to appeal and “vigorously defend its intellectual property, including asserting the two new Orange-Book listed patents that have been granted for Suboxone Film.”

Indivior sued Alvogen and four other companies in February in the District of New Jersey for infringing a separate patent.
