J&J Subsidiary Launches 3D Nav System for ENT Procedures

Acclarent, a J&J subsidiary, launched its TruDI image-guided navigation system for use in ear, nose and throat procedures.

The device, which gained 510(k) clearance, is an electromagnetic image-guided navigation system used for endoscopic sinus surgeries, intended for use during intra and paranasal procedures for eligible patients requiring sinus surgery.

The newly launched system allows the use of a 3D navigation-enabled balloon sinuplasty system in the treatment of chronic sinusitis.
