C4 Imaging Gains FDA Clearance for MRI Marker

The FDA granted 510(k) clearance for C4 Imaging’s HDR MRI marker, intended to be used prior to high dose rate brachytherapy to support cancer treatment.

It is used before HDR brachytherapy in order to locate the applicators that guide the placement of radioactive sources used to treat multiple forms of cancer.

The device allows the anatomical imaging properties of MRIs to be used in planning HDR treatment and can help minimize side effects.
