DEA Withdraws Suspension Order Against Louisiana Wholesaler

May 22, 2018

The Drug Enforcement Agency withdrew a suspension order against Louisiana drug wholesaler Morris & Dickson after the company successfully obtained a May 8 court ruling blocking the DEA from enforcing the order.

The agency had sought the immediate suspension order to block the company from selling opioids.

“This proves what we’ve said all along — that DEA’s hasty action was unjustified,” said M&D President Paul Dickson. “We look forward to working with the DEA and other critical members of the healthcare community on model drug diversion control and patient safety measures,” Dickson said.
