Judge Orders Sanofi to Turn Over Regulatory Documents in FCA Suit

A Pennsylvania federal judge ruled Sanofi must hand over a trove of documents in a lawsuit accusing the drugmaker of illegal off-label promotions of its cancer drug Taxotere (docetaxel).

U.S. District Judge Lawrence F. Stengel ordered the drugmaker to turn over hundreds of documents, including any warnings issued by regulators. Stengel based his ruling on testimony of whistleblower Yoash Gohil, a former employee of the company.

The ruling comes after Gohil argued in April that the documents in question are not protected by attorney-client privilege.
