EMA Hosts Workshop on Complex and Rare Diseases

The European Medicines Agency will provide a live webcast during its May 29-30 workshop to discuss how the agency can work with European Reference Networks on treatments for complex and rare diseases.

The ERNs link centers of expertise in EU countries to develop new innovative care models and boost research through clinical studies.

The 24 networks, involving more than 900 specialized health care units in 26 EU countries, were launched in 2017.
