Kent Imaging Receives CE Mark Approval for Medical Imaging Device

May 30, 2018

Kent Imaging received CE Mark approval for its Kent multispectral medical imaging device, which is already listed as a Class II medical device with the FDA and Health Canada.

The device measures the availability of oxygenated blood in tissue, helping to avoid unnecessary corrections or complications across multiple points of care.

The handheld, cordless imaging device does not need to inject dyes or have tissue contact and operates with speed similar to a point and shoot camera. It has been used for flap and implant-based reconstruction, abdominal wall surgery, cardiac use and other types of wound care.
