Allergan Recalls Taytulla Sample Packs After Placing Pills Out of Order

Allergan issued a nationwide recall of its Taytulla birth control sample packs after concerns arose from pills in the packs being placed out of order.

A physician report notified the company that four placebo doses were placed out of order in a sample pack, with the first four days of use having non-hormonal capsules instead of active ones.

The company said the affected sample packs could place the patient at risk of contraceptive failure and unintended pregnancy if the user does not realize the pills are out of order.
