CleanCision System Receives CE Mark Approval

Prescient Surgical’s CleanCision system received CE mark approval. The device is designed to combat and defend against sources of surgical site infections.

The approval means that the system is now available to European hospitals that face high rates of SSIs in colorectal and other abdominal surgeries.

CleanCision uses both wound protection and irrigation in its retraction system, allowing it to actively clear harmful bacteria that invade incisions made during surgery.
