FDA Clears Surgical Innovation’s Bioabsorbable Mesh

Surgical Innovation’s DuraSorb monofilament mesh was given 510(k) clearance by the FDA for use in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

The mesh is implanted in patients to provide soft tissue support required for various general and plastic surgeries.

DuraSorb is designed to integrate into the tissue, similar to an absorbable stitch, and provides strong support during healing after surgery. It dissolves within one year.
