FDA Approves PixCell HemoScreen Portable Analyzer

The FDA granted 510(k) clearance for PixCell Medical’s HemoScreen, a portable hematology analyzer.

The miniature analyzer uses disposable cartridges for point of care blood analysis, making it the first of its kind to be approved by the agency.

The disposable cartridges include the necessary reagents and accept a drop of blood from the finger. The device provides all 20 complete blood count parameters.
