U.S. Marshalls Conduct Mass Seizure on Behalf of FDA

U.S. Marshals seized a large quantity of FDA-regulated products from a company’s warehouses in Alma, Arkansas, including OTC drugs that were being held under very insanitary conditions.

The massive seizure conducted Nov. 7 to 8 at J and L Grocery netted OTC drugs — many of them expired — as well as cosmetics, medical devices and human and animal food products.

The agency found serious sanitation problems at the company’s seven warehouses and sheds used for storage, including live and dead animals.
