Kentucky Court: Purdue Must Produce Oxycontin Documents

January 4, 2019

A Kentucky appeals court upheld a ruling that found Purdue Pharma must release records relating to the company’s marketing of OxyContin.

Records covered by the ruling, a unanimous opinion by a panel of three judges, include a deposition of former Purdue President Richard Sackler, as well as documents relating to marketing strategies and internal analyses of clinical trials and information on sales representatives’ marketing strategies.

Purdue may appeal the decision to the state’s supreme court.
