MRI Interventions Cleared for Aspiration System

The FDA granted MRI Interventions clearance for its ClearPoint PURSUIT neuro aspiration system.

The device is indicated for controlling the aspiration of blood and clotted blood, cystic tumor components, abscesses, colloid cysts and cerebral spinal fluid using a syringe during ventricular or cerebrum surgery.

The device enables surgeons to identify a patient’s aspiration target using real-time MRI and to monitor their aspiration during surgery.
