GI Dynamics Appoints Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs

EndoBarrier developer GI Dynamics has appointed Stephen Linhares as its new vice president of clinical and regulatory affairs.

Linhares has spent over three decades working in medical device-oriented development, regulatory, preclinical and clinical operations, quality and resource management roles. He has held leadership positions at Insulet, Boston Scientific and Phase Forward, and served as vice president of regulatory, clinical affairs and quality assurance at Neograft Technologies.

Working with GI Dynamics, Linhares’ focus will be on the pivotal US trial for the company’s EndoBarrier device, a treatment for type 2 diabetes and obesity. He will also work on securing a CE Mark for the device.
