Ascyrus Gains CE Mark for Aortic Dissection Stent

Ascyrus Medical’s Ascyrus Medical Dissection Stent (AMDS), a device intended for use in acute type A aortic dissections, has earned the CE Mark.

The AMDS is an arch remodeling hybrid graft that serves as an adjunct to surgical reconstruction. It is intended to reduce complications and reoperation risks associated with acute aortic dissections by treating malperfusion syndrome — the loss of blood supply caused by arterial obstruction secondary to the dissection.

The device also reduces risks by stabilizing or reducing the size of the patient’s aorta.
