Nemaura Appoints New Lead to Launch Continuous Glucose Monitor

Medical devicemaker Nemaura named Fred Schaebsdau as its new leader of strategy and business development. In his new role, Schaebsdau will lead the launch of SugarBEAT, a non-invasive continuous glucose monitor that uses a daily disposable skin-patch connected to a rechargeable transmitter.

The continuous glucose monitor is linked to an app that displays the patient’s glucose readings every five minutes for periods up to 24 hours. The device is expected to help diabetics and pre-diabetics improve how they track activities that affect their glucose levels.

Schaebsdau brings over 15 years of executive-level experience in relevant industries, including glucose monitoring and insulin delivery systems.
