FDA Issues Third Clearance to SIG Medical AdvantageRib System

The FDA granted 510(k) clearance to SIG Medical enhanced AdvantageRib System, K183317, marking SIG’s third marketing clearance for the rib fracture system.

The latest clearance features new implants to treat patients along the entire spectrum of bone quality and modifications to existing implants to improve surgeon experience.

The company will launch the system next month at the Chest Wall Injury Society’s annual meeting in Santa Fe where it plans to conduct hands on training.
