LivaNova’s Aortic Valve Earns Reimbursement Listing in Japan

Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare granted reimbursement to LivaNova’s Perceval sutureless aortic valve, a device designed to treat aortic valve disease. The required listing sets the price paid by health insurance programs.

The elastic, sutureless valve’s design aims to reduce the complexity of procedures and it contains a stent that adapts to the movements of the aorta during the cardiac cycle.

The device is can be used in many different surgical approaches, including traditional and minimally invasive procedures.
