Aidoc Earns CE Mark for Pulmonary Embolism Tool

Aidoc has received the CE Mark for its AI-based workflow tool for identifying and triaging pulmonary embolisms (PE) in CT pulmonary angiograms.

The device pinpoints obstructions to blood flow in the lungs to help radiologists more efficiently and quickly identify PEs, which are estimated to account for 100,000 annual deaths in the US.

CT pulmonary angiograms are medical diagnostic tests that are used to diagnose PEs by creating an image of a patient’s pulmonary arteries.
