Bluejay Diagnostics Earns CE Mark for Allergic Conjunctivitis Test
April 9, 2019
Bluejay Diagnostics received the CE Mark for its Allereye Tear Total IgE test for diagnosing allergic conjunctivitis.
The minimally invasive test measures the amount of the immunoglobulin E antibody in a patient’s tears to detect allergic conjunctivitis, commonly known as “red eye.” The condition is caused by allergies, such as mold spores or pollen.
Use of the diagnostic test at point-of-care could help avoid unnecessary eye treatments and antibiotic regimens, the company says.
