Meril Life Sciences Gains CE Mark for Aortic Heart Valve

June 11, 2019

Indian devicemaker Meril Life Sciences has earned the CE Mark for its Myval transcatheter aortic heart valve, a device used to replace narrowed aortic valves that no longer open correctly.

The valve features a honeycomb design that is visible during fluoroscopy, making it easier to place precisely. The placement area is dilated using the devicemaker’s Mammoth balloon.

Surgeons can place the device using the company’s Navigator platform, which uses dual-stoppers to crimp the valve and deploy it safely.
