Acertara Earns CE Mark for Ultrasound Probe Tester

Acertara Acoustic Laboratories received the CE Mark for its ATLAS ultrasound probe testing device, allowing it to be sold within the European Union.

The patent-pending probe testing and analysis device provides a comprehensive analysis of a probe’s essential acoustic and electrical performance parameters, as well as the detection of dead elements that could affect the probe’s accuracy.

The table-top device weighs less than six kilograms. Previous devices with the same sophistication would have needed a room filled with expensive interconnected test devices, Acertara said.
