FDA Clears Life Spine’s Expandable Spacer System

The FDA has awarded Life Spine 510(k) clearance for its Prolift expandable spacer system for use in spinal fusion procedures.

The system includes multiple options that help to reinstate normal spino-pelvic alignment, as well as a bulleted tip to make insertion easier in collapsed degenerative discs without disturbing the joints where two or more bones join the spine.

The device is designed for minimal tissue disruption and nerve retraction during surgery and realignment.
