Exogenesis Files 510(k) Submission for Nano-Textured Hernia Mesh

July 31, 2019

Exogenesis has completed filing its 510(k) submission with the FDA for the Exogenesis Hernia Mesh, a soft tissue device used for hernia repair.

The device is made of monofilament medical grade Polypropylene and has a surface treated with the company’s Accelerated Neutral Atom Beam (ANAB) technology to improve medical device response in patients.

“Bioactive nano-texture created by ANAB treatment has been shown to improve tissue integration and inhibit pathogen adhesion to the surfaces of implantable medical devices,” the company said.
