IceCure Gains Israeli Approval for Cryoablation Technology

August 7, 2019

IceCure’s minimally-invasive cryoablation device has received authorization from Israel’s Department for Fighting Crime in the Field of Medical Device (AMAR) for specific indications.

The approval allows doctors in Israel to use the device to freeze benign and malignant tumors in specific medical indications, including for lung and breast cancer. The device has already received general approval in the country.

The technology treats tumors painlessly using liquid nitrogen without requiring surgery.
