Teva Launches Generic Version of EpiPen for Children as Shortage Continues

August 21, 2019

Teva Pharmaceutical launched its generic version of Mylan’s EpiPen Jr. (epinephrine) auto-injector 0.15mg at a wholesale cost of $300 per two-pack.

Teva received approval to market generic versions of Mylan’s epinephrine autoinjectors for both adults and children in August 2018 after several years of delays in getting the generics approved.

The company plans to “accelerate production to meet the urgent need for this medicine,” according to Brendan O’Grady, head of Teva’s North America operations.
